NHS draft standards of Procurement

The NHS Standards of Procurement support the recommendations from the Public Accounts Committee (April 2011) by providing a clear vision of good procurement and identifies high quality procurement performance.

They enable Trusts Boards to assess procurement performance and recognise areas for improvement to ensure value for money (VFM) is delivered through its procurement activity and its procurement partners.
These standards provide a structure for trusts to work within to improve procurement performance and inform the direction and priority for any system level support. They will be supported by the National QIPP Procurement programme and other system level initiatives.

These standards provide a useful aid to the continuing success of procurement performance in your organisation.
