IBIS is a model designed to help institutions measure, and thereby improve, the effectiveness of their procurement function in terms of value for money and risk reduction through:

  • The identification of the importance of procurement in terms of the institution's total expenditure
  • The use of good contracts with good suppliers
  • Having a Procurement Office that provides a high quality, economical service
     

IBIS provides a host of management information on procurement activities in a form that enables the Head of Procurement and others to make well-informed decisions on the day-to-day management of the institution's procurement activities. The management information is ideal for
