In most cases, goods are delivered within normal working hours, and instructions to suppliers on where and when to deliver goods should be as specific as possible. On many occasions major pieces of equipment are delivered and installed by the manufacturer or its agent.  All such installers must be treated as outside contractors and the Estates Department should be advised in advance to ensure that such contractors abide by the institution's published guidance.  Guidance on this will normally be available from your Estates Department.

Where goods are to be delivered outside normal working hours, and particularly at weekends, the Security Department should be notified.
