Monitoring Compliance

IBIS uses a simple commodity coding structure to allocate each supplier to a main commodity group. The codes are detailed in the supporting material for use with the Model.

The sub-division of the suppliers into these groupings enables a more detailed analysis to be completed.  For example, it will be possible to 

  • Determine where there is leakage from an existing contract ie departments are using alternative suppliers 
     
  • Determine what areas of expenditure are well controlled and which are not
