External Benchmarking

As with the internal benchmarking, the analysis generated by IBIS can be used to assess your institution's performance against others. By using, for example, total expenditure and the percentage of this that is non-pay spend, it is possible to identify similar colleges. 

Over the next number of years the hope is to develop inter-institutional benchmarking and, if possible, benchmarking with external bodies within the UK and perhaps wider afield.  Information on developments in this area will be available on the CPP web site.

It is hoped that as inter-institutional benchmarking increases, best practice will be identified from which training materials, including case studies, can be developed.
